New virus warning

Further to our recent communications about the importance of remaining vigilant against the Cryptolocker virus, we have been made aware of a new strain of ransomware coded entirely in JavaScript.

According to a recent BBC news article, the virus, called RAA, disguises itself as a JavaScript document and begins encrypting documents as soon as it is opened. When you start a JavaScript document there is not always a warning before the document loads up, security researchers believe that this will fool many victims and increase the chances of the document being accidentally activated.

We urge all customers and business partners to be careful with what they open in emails. This is your responsibility.
